Interline Agreements
What are they? How do they work?: Understanding interline agreements.
Interline agreements between airlines simplify the ticketing and baggage handling process resulting in a better traveling experience for their passengers.
How it all works:
There are a number of different kinds of interline agreements between carriers, but the the type Denver Air Connection uses with our partners accomplishes two things for our passengers. It allows our interline partners to book Denver Air Connection flights on their itineraries, and it contains an agreement to automatically transfer baggage to the next flight on an itinerary.
What that means is that if you book your travel through one of our interline partners or their booking engines, you will see any available Denver Air Connection flights as choices. When your travel is booked in that way your luggage will automatically be transfered to your next flight.
It is important to note that you can not create an interline booking with Denver Air Connection. Our ticketing agreement is one way, meaning that our interline partners can add Denver Air Connection flights to their itineraries but we can not add their flights to ours.
How do I know…
if all of my flights are on the same itinerary? When you receive confirmation for your booking all of your flights will be under the same reference/booking/PNR/confirmation code. If you receive multiple confirmation messages and they have different reference/booking/PNR/confirmation codes, your flights are not on the same itinerary.
if my luggage is being sent to my final destination? When you check in for your flight and baggage tags are printed for your luggage, check to ensure that the final destination on the tag matches your final destination.
