Denver Air Connection is pleased to announce that we have resumed normal operations today.
First and foremost, we extend our sincere apologies to our guests for the disruptions experienced over the past several days. We understand and share your frustration.
The service interruption was caused by a series of malware attacks on our reservations platform provider, affecting both their primary and backup systems. This incident not only impacted our ability to operate flights in compliance with TSA regulations, but also severely limited our ability to communicate with guests through our usual channels.
In the face of this unprecedented outage, hundreds of DAC employees stepped up—demonstrating remarkable resilience, creativity, and dedication. Their hard work and long hours enabled us to operate nearly all scheduled flights, despite unavoidable delays. Thanks to their efforts, widespread cancellations were largely prevented. We are incredibly proud of our team and grateful for their commitment.
We are also profoundly grateful for the patience, grace, and understanding of our guests and partners throughout this challenging time.
To show our appreciation, all guests affected by the outage will receive two round-trip vouchers for future travel on DAC. Additionally, if you are owed a refund or reimbursement, we are now able to process these requests with our system back online.
It’s worth noting that our reservations platform provider services more than 60 airlines globally, all of which were affected by this cyberattack. This incident highlights the reality that, in today’s digital world, no system is entirely immune to cyber threats, and the transportation sector remains especially vulnerable due to the nature of its operations.
Looking ahead, DAC is actively working with our partners to implement enhanced safeguards and technologies to better protect our systems —and, most importantly, our guests—from future disruptions.
