Do you have a REAL ID?

Beginning May 7, 2025, you will need a REAL ID-compliant ID to fly within the United States. For a complete list of acceptable REAL ID identifications or additional information about REAL ID, visit https://www.dhs.gov/real-id

Beginning February 1, 2026, all travelers without an acceptable ID, including those who present a non-REAL ID-compliant state driver’s license or ID, will be referred to the optional TSA ConfirmID process for identity verification. A fee of $45 will be charged to each passenger who chooses to use ConfirmID.

Online check-in begins 24 hours prior to departure time and ends 3 hours prior to departure time. If you are traveling with checked baggage, you must check-in at the ticket counter. Checked bags are accepted at the ticket counter up to one hour prior to departure. Please arrive at least 60 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.

Whether you check-in online or in person, it is your responsibility to allow enough time to complete the security screening process at the airport and be present at the departure gate on time.

Ticket Counter Location and Hours

The Denver Air Connection ticket counter is located in Terminal 3, near the Alaska Air and Jet Blue counters, and is most easily accessed through the Door 5 entrance. The ticket counter opens 2 hours prior to departure and closes 1 hour prior to departure.

Online Check-in

Online check-in begins 24 hours prior to departure time and ends 3 hours prior to departure time.

Terminal 3 – Gates may be F13, F14, or F15. Please check television monitors for up-to-date information.

When to arrive at the airport and Check in Information

Originating At Phoenix
We request that you arrive at least 2 hours prior to your flight, but no later than 1 hour prior to your departure time.

Ticket counter check-in will close 1 hour prior to departure time. Any passengers not checked in at that time will not be allowed to board. No refunds will be given for missed flights due to late check-in.

Connecting Flights
Passengers connecting from other airlines with only carry-on baggage may check-in at the gate. Gate check-in begins 1 hour prior to departure time.

Passengers with checked baggage connecting from one of our interline partners, and who have checked their baggage through to their final destination may also check-in at the gate.  It is your responsibility to ensure that your baggage is checked through to your final location. If your baggage was only checked to PHX, you must retrieve your baggage from the baggage claim area and check-in at the DAC ticket counter.

If you are traveling with a paper ticket, or just need some extra help with the check-in process on the date of departure our customer service agents are always available to help get you going with an in-person check-in. Please note that checked baggage is only accepted  1 hour or more prior to departure.
